Die Prämolaren weisen eine zweihöckerige Kaufläche mit einer Höckeranordnung in vestibulo-oraler Richtung auf. Sie sind außer des ersten oberen Prämolaren einwurzelig.Insgesamt gibt es acht Prämolare, in jedem Quadranten zwei.
