- [en] The trapezius muscle is a large superficial muscle located on the neck and upper back. It consists of three functional region. Its pars descendens pulls the scapula in the directon of the head and towards the midline. Its
pars transversa pulls the scapula itowards the vertebral column and its
pars ascendens pulls the scapula downwartds.

- [de] Der Musculus trapezius befindet sich am Hals und oberen R?cken des Menschen. Er besteht aus drei Teile. Seine pars descendens zieht die Scapula nach kranial und medial. Bei fixierten Schulterg?rtel zieht die pars descendens Kopf- und Halswirbel zur Gegenseite, bei beidseitiger Kontraktion wird die Wirbels?ule gestreckt. Die pars transversa zieht die Scapula heran und die pars ascendens zieht sie mittig nach unten.
